Arasilk colours based on pigments are part of the silk painting range. The application can also be made on linen, wool or cotton. These water-based paints have excellent light tolerance.

The paint applied on the silk will fuse or diffuse to a lesser extent compared to conventional silk and wool H Dupont dyes. Create scarves, decorations or customize basic clothing to give them a tie-and-dye effect.

They are fixable to the heat of the iron or household oven.

The range includes 30 colours and a medium in 50ml as well as 16 colors and a medium in 250ml. All colors are miscible to create new ones. Attention, the realization will include a back and a front. That is to say that the reverse will have a tone slightly less bright than the front which was painted.

How to use the Arasilk silk paint?

Prepare your colors to paint. To create pastel shades, use the 027 white and the 005 medium to decrease the intensity of the colors.

For your creations on silk you can use the auxiliaries of the H Dupont range such as colorless or colored water-based guttas, anti-fusant, waxes ... Be careful not to use solvent-based auxiliaries . These are not miscible with it as they require a fixation with the steamer and will not be fixable like Arasilk paint. Pre-test the application and fix on a tissue sample. Apply your paint with a brush on a stretched silk or on your fabric.

You can also use Arasilk to create tie and dye effects on cotton t-shirts.

To fix the color to the fabric, iron it without steam for 5 minutes (or with a protective cloth between the iron and the paint) or pass the realization in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes, at 130 ° C. Once the color is set, gently wash the silk by hand in lukewarm water and non-aggressive laundry. Rinse with cold water. For great achievements, fixing to iron can be restrictive. In this case, use H Dupont classic dyes and fix with a steamer.

When your achievement is fixed, the paint resists water and light. Rinse the used material with water to clean it.
