It is essential that your fabric is effectively stretched over a slotted frame or modular sliding frame. For this, use 3-point pins. They ensure good tension.
Be sure to place them at regular intervals and put them side by side so that the tension is optimal and uniform. Thus, you can apply the paint normally, it will not accumulate in a hollow and your work will be perfectly smooth.
The fiber must be stretched but not too much as it could damage your work! For bristles by the meter, we can use the pins. For silks already sewn in scarf, tie or other textile piece, it is preferable to use claws for H Dupont silk.
Each box contains 100 pins.
Place your silk on the frame. Leave 1 or 2 cm, long enough to be able to place the pins without damaging a large part of the work.
Side by side, push the pins on the frame ensuring that the silk is smooth enough, without being too tight, which could spread the fibers and affect the final result.
When finished, simply remove the 3-point pins with the round end of a knife.
Pins fix silk on a frame so that it is taut
