More info
For your watercolours, Cristaline is ideal! This dye-based drawing ink is aquarellable after drying.
The range of Cristaline liquid watercolours contains 4 opaque colours and 11 transparent shades. They are all miscible with each other to create new colours and gradient effects. Thanks to their high concentration of pigments, you will appreciate the quality of the colours for your paintings or the restoration of some works.
Watercolour does not leave brush traces but it is advisable to use a soft brush for the comfort of use. You can also use an airbrush for the application. It is also possible to use a pen to draw or a ruling pen.
Paint your realization with a solvent-based varnish to protect it. A water-based varnish may dilute the paint.
Take the colours with a brush or a pipette. If you want to lighten certain tones, use water. To create pastel colours, use opaque white mixed with another colour.
Use a soft brush that will be more enjoyable when applying it on watercolour paper and that will optimize the rendering of your work. Papers of lower quality could alter the colours or make the final result more fragile. The layers of paint should be thin layers.
You can prepare your paper beforehand with pastel or wax drawings. When you paint over it with the transparent Cristaline colour, the drawing will appear.
The paint dries in a few minutes depending on the amount of water added beforehand.
After use, wash your equipment in cold, soapy water.
Attention, the watercolour ink Cristaline does not resist in time to the light. Protect it by using a glossy or satined Darwi varnish.
This water-based ink is suitable for tinting resin such as the Cernit Finish Glass Kit.
Enhance your watercolours with Cristaline quality colours!
Various techniques (airbrush, drawing pen or ruling pen) are possible with this watercolour ink.
All our paints are made in our factory in Wandre, Belgium.
